Around 2.5 miles, we took an anti clockwise loop around up to the river where we saw an otter fishing, fantastic! Passed by the weir and back to the town. Full review by M8283SOrogerb

The currents in the Severn can be quite strong so please use caution if letting your dog swim. Dogs can get into the river in many places but there’s a ‘beach’ about 100 yards clockwise from the weir which is probably the best place. Downstream from the Abbey Mill (still on the Ham) is a millstream that is much safer for dogs to swim in.
