NDEMU will strengthen the capabilities of emergency management professionals and the broader community by offering targeted training programs, certificate, and practical applications designed to enhance disaster resilience and response.
The APS program, which utilizes EMI developed courses, will continue to do so, and EMI will continue to maintain the courses; however, the responsibility for issuing the APS certificates will be turned over to the state emergency management agencies.
The Emergency Management Institute (EMI) will continue to exist within NDEMU to provide foundational training and development for early career emergency managers
